radio silence, part 2

Dear readers, we are sending our computer in a container to Iceland. The absence of a keyboard and internet access will cause posting to be a bit more complicated. Maybe we´ll write a couple of lines before departure, but I seriously doubt we´ll have the patience to upload any photos. The departure is now scheduled for the 22nd of May, a bit later than we´d have liked, but due to circumstances it is inevitable.
Most of our stuff is already in boxes and ready to be shipped back to Iceland. Oddly enough I can't wait to get rid of it.

The red house wagon has been adjusted and seems to run fine for the time being. After meeting with a REAL mechanic, we now have a pretty good idea where eventual problems will manifest them selves.
I don't recall how they do things at Hekla, but at the VW in Rome, they try to never ever let you meet the actual mechanic. Instead we only get to speak with some sort of a PR who knows even less than we do about the mechanics of a motorized vehicle. Mamma mia, the guy just gave us headaches! He was convinced that he knew exactly what the problem was and tried to sell us several very expensive car repairs, including the opening of the header! I vividly remember when my dad opened up the header of the green Lada Sport jeep. Not an easy operation. For extreme cases of low motor pressure only and we knew the problem was connected to the gas injection, not the motor pressure from how the car has been acting. So what do you do in a situation like this? We decided to ask for his boss...or the actual mechanic. He chose the mechanic, who explained the problem to us and then fixed the car in less than five minutes.
And how much did this little operation cost us? Nothing at all. Which could explain why they don't like people to meet with the mechanic.

Luna and I have many things in common, but a silly little in thing in common has made us a very chic mother and daughter duo. Thing is that neither of us have outgrown all our lovely summer dresses yet. Couple of more weeks and we´d not be able to wear them any more. So off we go to enjoy the lovely warmth of spring in the park or maybe even on the beach ...impeccably dressed.
